What to have ready
Nothing needs to be perfect before you contact us — we'll tell you what's missing. But applications move faster when you already have:
- Passport valid well beyond your intended start date
- High school or university diploma, and full transcripts
- Language certificate if you have one (IELTS, TOEFL, TÖMER)
- YÖS or SAT results if your target university requires them
- Biometric photographs
- Proof of funds for the visa application
Education Support questions.
Do I need to speak Turkish?
Not necessarily. Many universities run full programmes in English, and those are usually where we start for international students. If you want a Turkish-taught programme, there's a language-prep year — we'll explain the difference in time and cost before you choose.
What is YÖS, and do I have to take it?
YÖS is an entrance exam some Turkish universities use for international students. Whether you need it depends entirely on which universities you're targeting; plenty accept high school grades or SAT instead. We check this per university on your shortlist.
Can you get me a scholarship?
We can prepare and submit applications where you meet the criteria, and we'll tell you honestly how competitive it looks. Nobody can promise a scholarship, and we'd be careful with anyone who does.
What is denklik?
Equivalency — official recognition that your foreign diploma matches the Turkish equivalent. You'll usually need it to enrol, and it's a common place where students get stuck. We handle the application.
When should I start?
Six to nine months before the term you're aiming for. Later is often still possible, but it narrows your options and puts pressure on the visa appointment, which is the step you can't rush.
